Their music has been likened to Bon Jovi and has obvious influences from classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, David Bowie, and Kiss as well as many others. Their debut album, titled Third Time’s a Charm is currently available for download at iTunes, ZooMoozik, and CDBaby. While no definite plans have yet been released, it’s highly likely that the two will record and release more music in the future.

Among his roll call of previous bands, Barry Calvagna can claim to have been in a high school rock band with guitarist Steve Vai before he had fully learned his trade. The two were good friends and Steve claimed his time with Ravge was like being in a family and that all the band members were close friends. It was a time looked back on fondly by both.

New York Avenue currently plays under the Indie Label Huntington Records. Together they have released the band’s first of hopefully many albums. To listen to previews of the tracks or download them, music lovers can visit iTunes, CDBaby, and ZooMoozik or check the band out on myspace where you can also listen to some of their original tracks, which combine rock and hard rock with contemporary country music and a little pop music too, and judge for yourself.
